NBA news: Big Draymond Green trade claim made after Kevin Durant spat

That is what NBA expert Leigh Ellis believes.

Green was tipped to leave the Warriors after he was involved in an on-court altercation with team-mate Durant.

Many felt that the Warriors were siding with Durant in the argument, especially as Green was suspended for a game without pay.

The pair have since reconciled, and appeared together after shooting practice in an intimate moment caught by Yahoo Sports reporter Chris Haynes.

During the on-court spat, which allegedly continued into the locker room, Green was alleged to have shouted “You’re a b****, and you know you’re a b****. We don’t need you, we won without you, leave.”

And Ellis believes there is no way Green can be traded, because it would damage the franchise too much.

“You don’t trade him after a little blow-up like this,” he explained on The Starters podcast.

“You certainly don’t want to see it happen again or hang on throughout the season.

“You don’t want to give Draymond away for two reasons, one because it would hurt the Warriors, and two because he might go to a Western team.

“Then you’ve got angry vengeful Draymond coming for the Warriors knowing all their secrets, knowing how they play, and being motivated.

“Draymond brings more value to the table than he takes off.

“We know he has a little bit of baggage, but overall his impact is something the Warriors need.

“We saw it against the Milwaukee Bucks, and Giannis [Antetokounmpo] just strolled into the paint, when Draymond is there he doesn’t do that.”

Green will miss tonight’s match against the Dallas Mavericks, as he is suffering from a toe injury.

That means the Warriors will be without two of their key starters, as superstar Steph Curry is still recovering from a groin strain.
