PS5 games SHOCK: Huge new PlayStation 5 release REVEALED

Square Enix is officially working on a PS5 game, it has been revealed.

According to the LinkedIn page of a Square Enix employee, the company is working on a brand new release.

Spotted by Gematsu, the page belongs to a a 3D character modeller employed by the Square Enix-owned Luminous Productions.

If the post is to be believed, then the new game will be a triple-A release that’s exclusive to PS5.

Square Enix recently confirmed that Luminous Productions was working on a brand new triple-A game, although this is the first time it’s been mentioned for PS5.

The company is also working on a mobile game for the Chinese market.

The news comes after Sony files a patent for a new DualShock controller.

Filed on October 16, the controller shares similarities with the DualShock, only this one features a touchscreen instead of a trackpad.

The post reads: “A controller for interfacing wirelessly with a computing device is provided, including the following: a housing defined by a main body, a first extension extending from a first end of the main body, and a second extension extending from a second end of the main body.

“The first extension and the second extension for holding by a first hand and a second hand of a user, respectively; a touchscreen defined along the top surface of the main body between the first extension and the second extension;

“A first set of buttons disposed on the top surface of the main body proximate to the first extension and on a first side of the touchscreen; and a second set of buttons disposed on the top surface of the main body proximate to the second extension and on a second side of the touchscreen.”

In the run up to the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett release dates, prominent video game developers have revealed what they want to see from the next-gen.

Wishlists include more physics-based events, faster processors and better connectivity between different platforms.

In a recent chat with Express Online, Shadow of the Tomb Raider narrative director Jason Dozois and lead game designer Heath Smith revealed what they want from the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

And the general consensus is for anything that would make Tomb Raider games look even better than they already do.

“More memory, more rendering, being able to see a further distance,” Dozois revealed. “Seeing vistas and thinking, ‘I can actually go there’, and it’s all connected.”
