Kim Porter, an American actress and model, has passed away at the age of 47, Diddy’s representative Cindi Berger confirmed.
Cindi told TMZ: “Sadly, I confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
A 911 call obtained by the publication revealed emergency services were informed about a patient in cardiac arrest.
A representative for the Los Angeles Police Department told Express.co.uk North Hollywood officers had responded to a call in Toluca Lake, California, where a female had been found unresponsive.
They said the cause of death was undetermined at this time and could not confirm the name of the deceased.
Kim and Diddy dated on-and-off for 13 years and shared three children together – Christian Casey, 20, Jessie James and D’Lila Star, both 11.
Rapper 50 Cent paid tribute to the late model on Twitter and explained how his friend Diddy would be feeling at the moment.
The 43-year-old entrepreneur began: “R.I.P. to Kim Porter, I send my condolences to her friends and family.
“She was loved and will be missed dearly. I know Puff is hit right now, he loved her for real, soulmate type s**t. Chin up Puff. Positive vibes only.”
Meanwhile, musicians Chase N. Cashe, Ferrari Sheppard and Missy Elliot also paid their respects on social media.
Missy Elliot tweeted: “This is so heartbreaking. Lord please give her kids and her whole family strength.”
Singer Tevin Campbell added: “Totally shocked, Kim Porter has left us. Too young. Nothing but memories of her, my lil bro and I goofing around in the lab with Al B. Heartfelt prayers/condolences to the family especial the kid. Sad.”(sic)
Rapper Juicy J passed on his condolences to Kim’s family, writing: “R.I.P Kim Porter. Prayed up for the family.”
While TV personality Wendy Williams said: “I just heard the sad news about Kim Porter. My condolence Diddy and Kim’s families. Rest in Peace.”
Actress Gabrielle Union tweeted her condolence to Kim’s children, writing: “This is awful! Praying so hard for her children and her loved ones! RIP Kim Porter sending so much love to her babies. My God!”
Elsewhere, Music mogul Russell Simmons posted a lengthy tribute to Kim on Instagram hours after the news broke, penning: “I’m just waking to this. There are no emojis no words but still I will try to speak.
“My heart is broken, I pray now for Kim’s swift rise to the kingdom, she is free from the trappings of the flesh, she is an angel now.”
Referring to her former partner Diddy and their three children, he added: “So now I can only pray for some comfort and peace for her beautiful children and for Sean.
“I pray for all of her extended family here on earth. I have loved this women for almost 30 years she was an angel and a queen.”
