Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker’s first Darth Vader moments shown in POWERFUL new light

The novelisation of the final prequel movie has obviously been out in the world for a great many years now, but now it is finding a whole new audience online. And the way it describes Anakin adapting to his new suit is quite powerful.

Reddit user darthmeteos even described it as their “favourite passage in any book ever”.

Presumably this is from the Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith novelisation penned by Matthew Stover, published in April 2005.

It sees Anakin running through the various sensations in his newly-suited body, after parting ways with Obi-Wan Kenobi and fully succumbing to the Dark Side.

One fan responded on the Reddit thread: “I was always disappointed in the fall of Vader in ROTS, it seemed rushed and didn’t make much sense to me. He just gives in after killing Windu.

“The novelization made it make sense to me, and actually improved the movie for me.”

Another wrote: “Favourite SW book. It is a must read people.”

Revenge of the Sith was, at the time, thought to be the last Star Wars movie; until Disney took ownership of LucasFilm and green-lit the current sequel trilogy.

It starred Hayden Christensen as Anakin, with Natalie Portman as Padmé and Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan.

The prequels were much-maligned at the time but seem to have found more of a warm reception now; as fans look back at the positives of the three films.

The whole Skywalker saga will come to an end with Star Wars: Episode 9, which is currently in production under the watchful eye of JJ Abrams.

That film is released in December 2019.
