Fortnite update 6.30 early patch notes: Mounted Turrets, Mouse and Keyboard, new skins

update 6.30 is about to be released by Epic Games.

The next major Fortnite update is expected to coincide with a period of downtime on November 13.

The Fortnite servers are likely to go offline at 8am GMT, and should return by around 10am UK time.

Epic Games will confirm update release plans soon, so stay tuned for more information.

In-game notifications and early patch notes have confirmed plans to release a brand new Mounted Turret.

The description suggests that players will be able to place the turret wherever they please.

“Place the Mounted Turret and hop in to apply some suppressive fire! Careful not to overheat,” reads an Epic post.

Another new feature that’s been confirmed for the next update is mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One.

Xbox One mouse and keyboard support was announced during the recent XO18 event.

Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb told fans that the new feature would be added to Fortnite later this week.

“Fourteen titles have announced they plan to have Xbox keyboard+mouse support including @FortniteGame, landing later this week,” he said.

Expect it to be implemented as part of update 6.30.

Elsewhere, Epic Games has told fans to expect fixes for audio and emote issues.

According to the Fortnite Trello board, the First Downer Pickaxe is experiencing looping audio on Xbox One.

Other players have experienced a problem with characters not emoting in the lobby.

Both of these issues will be fixed in the next Fortnite update later this week.

New skins will also be revealed once the update goes live, so check back for more information.
