Pokemon Go December Community Day UPDATE and Gen 4 news

Having hunted down plenty of Cyndaquils to catch, Trainers now want to know more about the Pokemon Go December Community Day.

This weekend’s big event was marred with a few technical glitches, some of which saw Niantic having to disable Adventure Sync.

“Trainers, gameplay issues have been resolved and we’re continuing to monitor the situation. Adventure Sync has been restored. Due to the outage, we’ve extended #PokemonGOCommunityDay in the Asia-Pacific region for an additional 2 hours. Thank you for your patience.”

However, a lot of Trainers went unaffected and were able to catch plenty of shiny Cyndaquils before the three-hour event ended.

And now players want to know what comes next for next month’s Community Day.

So far, Niantic has not shared any information on what day it will be held on or what Pokemon will be the star.

As October’s Community Day included a starter Pokemon, we can probably expect something from a little further afield.

And there are some working theories on what Pokemon will be included in future Community Days in 2018.

Earlier this year, The Silph Road published a piece predicting the Community Day Pokemon for the year.

The post correctly claimed that Chikorita would headline the September event, while Slakoth, Cyndaquil and Trapinch were also tipped to appear.

The post also mentions Ralts, so it’s possible we’ll see the Psychic/Fairy type make an appearance soon.

Then again, Niantic may change things up and try and finish 2018 on a high note, offering up a top choice Pokemon to catch.

And whatever happens, Pokemon Go fans will be counting down the days to the next Community Day event in December.

When it comes to finding out the big news, Trainers probably won’t have to wait long.

News of the next Community Day is usually shared the week after the prior one has finished.

That means we could have an idea on the November Community Day date and Pokemon by November 15.

Until then, fans have plenty of time to speculate over what might be coming next to Pokemon Go.

It follows news that Niantic may be about to add a new Pokemon Gen 4 item that many fans have not used before.

According to those tracking the network traffic, a new Sinnoh evolution item has been found.

The Sinnoh Stone is used to evolve certain types of Pokemon and could be the next big Gen 4 update.

Here’s the Pokemon Go description for the new item, which states: “A special stone originally found in the Sinnoh region that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve.

“It is very tough and has a beautiful sheen.”

The interesting thing about this item is that the Sinnoh Stone has never been used in earlier Game Freak Pokemon games.

They have appeared in unofficial fanmade titles, which begs the question of whether this new item will be replacing other evolution items in Gen 4.

For the time being this has been data miners and isn’t an official announcement from Niantic.
