Stacey Dooley: Strictly Come Dancing 2018 favourite admits she’s ‘obsessed’ with co-star

Strictly Come Dancing pair Stacey Dooley, 31, and Kevin Clifton, 36, are favourites to get their hands on the Glitterball trophy.

However, the BBC Three documentary maker could be set to swap Kevin for another professional as she revealed she’s “obsessed” with Oti Mabuse.

One person wrote to Stacey on Twitter: “Love the growing friendship between @OtiMabuse & @StaceyDooley so sweet to see #Strictly #ittakestwo #itt.”

The Children In Need ambassador responded: “I’m obsessed with her,” alongside a love heart emoji.

On last night’s spin-off It Takes Two, Stacey revealed she has a secret talent as she showcased her incredible impression of Oti.

Talking to co-host Gethin Jones, Stacey chatted from the Strictly studio with dancer Kevin and Oti and her celebrity partner Graeme Swann.

The cricketer said: “I also want to hear Stacey’s impression of Oti because it’s magnificent.”

Falling into fits of giggles, Stacey got into character and said: “Graeme, concentrate! I told you 100 times!”

Oti, 28, posted the clip to her Instagram account where she wrote: “Love @sjdooley.”

Also on the show, Stacey spoke about her fear of dancing the Waltz tonight to hit song Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Stacey confessed: “I thought I would be fine at the Waltz.

“I thought I’ve got the ballroom, I’ll be good to go. But actually it’s tricky.”

Kevin added: “I’m not taking it easy on Stacey in this dance, I’m putting in a lot of complicated choreography.”

Stacey went on to note: “The thing is with this one is it’s so slow.

“You’re totally exposed.”

Kevin concluded: “It takes a lot of control through the ankles and feet to really hang on to the beats and make them as smooth as possible.”

Stacey and Kevin are favourites to win this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing with bookmaker’s Coral putting their odds at 6-4.

“It’s been another week where Stacey has dominated our betting and punters are backing her to win without any doubts in their mind,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

“The way things are going we expect her to go odds on any week now and it looks like she’ll be incredibly hard to beat to the Glitterball Trophy.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 airs tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
