Reports last week claimed the Queen is planning to hand over power to Prince Charles.
The new came just as the Prince and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, began a royal tour of Africa.
A body language expert told Express.co.uk how Prince Charles is growing into his role as future king.
The expert suggest the royal was “upping his game” in terms of his body language.
“Charles has shown throughout his life how competitive he can be, and with both William and Kate and Harry and Meghan currently robbing him of the royal limelight to the point where he is increasingly overlooked as the next heir to the throne he does appear to have moved into top gear now,” Judi explained.
She said the Prince is aiming “to re-gain the lost ground by boosting his own profile with some very timely image PR to remind us how easily he will fit into the role of king.”
The father-of-two as visited a number of African nations, meeting heads of state.
On 5 November the Prince was made a Companion of the Order of the Star of Ghana by Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo during a State Dinner at Jubilee House.
Charles and his wife have attended a number of events, from traditional ceremonies to market openings.
Judi said: “This is another display of Charles upping his game in terms of regal posturing.”
The body language expert pointed at an image of the future king and Camilla at a Durbar and Tea with the Asantehene at Manhiya Palace in Ghana.
Charles, wearing a dapper beige suit, sat with his wife Camilla in chairs, shaded from the sun.
“Sitting apart from Camilla here he is fully splayed with his legs apart and his arm on the arm of his throne-style chair.
“Royal status is very much defined by space and the size of the chair and his seat is noticeably higher than that of the man sitting next to him, which diminishes that man next to the Prince.
The way Charles interacts with a man who appears to be his aide shows “dominance” Judi claims.
“Charles only turns his head to talk to the man over the top of his fist, meaning the man has to lean in towards him to make the pose compatible.
“Charles has rarely looked so dominant and Camilla appears equally at ease sitting fanning herself to his right.”
