P20 Pro price drop as Carphone Warehouse announces big deals ahead of Black Friday 2018

Black Friday 2018 begins of November 23 but that’s not stopping retailers unveiling some early discounts.

will go live from November 16 to November 25 with “Deals of the Day” offering price cuts on “must-have electronics, toys and fashion to sports, beauty, home items and more”.

Now Carphone Warehouse has joined the price cut party.

The high street retailer has announced its 2018 Black Tag event which sees prices dropped on both contract and SIM-free devices.

There’s plenty of deals to be grabbed on some of the best phones of the year but one of the biggest discounts sees the brilliant P20 Pro dropped in price by £120.

That means this top-rated smartphone can be purchased on contract for £29.99 per month.

This deal only includes 500MB of data, so it won’t suit everyone, but the total cost over two years is £769 which is £30 cheaper than buying this Huawei flagship SIM-free.

As a reminder, the P20 Pro features a 6.1-inch screen, triple rear camera with artificial intelligence and fast Kirin processor.

Along with this P20 Pro deal, there are also offers on the Galaxy S9 and iPhone 7 with prices for these phones starting from £25.99 per month with no upfront cost.

If you don’t want a new phone then Carphone Warehouse says that it is also offering some good Sim Only deals this year, with customers able to get a 20GB SIM for just £14 or an 8GB SIM for £12 – both with Virgin Mobile.

There’s also an iD Mobile SIM with 4GB of monthly data for £8.

Finally, there’s a few offers on SIM-free smartphones with the Sony XZ Premium, featuring the world’s first 4K HDR mobile display, available for £299 – a saving of a £150.

Major savings are also to be had on the Huawei P20 Lite, which boasts a FullView HD+ display, fingerprint scanner and a powerful dual-lens camera, has an upfront cost of £229, saving consumers £50.

The Huawei P Smart, with its sharp and vibrant 5.65-inch display, is another hot SIM-free deal coming in at a one-off cost of £149, a saving of £30.

These deals are available now but expect plenty more discounts in the run-up to Black Friday 2018.
