INSTAGRAM DOWN – UPDATE ONE: Instagram is once again experiencing issues, with users of the Facebook-owned social network reporting problems for the second day in a row.

Out of those reported issues, some 66 per cent of Instagram users were having issues with the news feed.

While 22 per cent of Instagram users were having problems with the website.

Down Detector is an independent website that tracks social mentions around specific topics to detect when popular services go down around the world.

ORIGINAL – Thursday November 8:  is down right now for hundreds of users who have reported the photo social network as not working today.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has received a surge of reports of Instagram down.

Out of those reports the majority of the issues Instagram users have experienced have revolved around the site’s news feed.

Instagram users have also taken to rival social network Twitter to report problems with the Facebook-owned site.

One Instagram user tweeted: “Quick someone give me a cat to look at, Instagram is down!”

While another posted: “Instagram down the moment I decided to upload a cute photo”.

And one added: “Is Instagram down again?”

The news comes after Instagram suffered another outage last month.

At the start of October Down Detector registered thousands of reports across the UK and many parts of Europe of Instagram down.

When trying to access the website users were faced with the error “5XX Server error” and the app displays the message “could not refresh feed.”

Users have flooded social media sites, including Twitter, to share their dismay with one Instagram fan saying: “#instagram is down every one panic this is the end of the world run for you’re lives.”

Whilst another simply said: “Instagram down. Why ???”

Some users say they have tried to delete the app and reinstall it with this causing even bigger issues.

Posting a message on the Down Detector forum, one Instagram customer said: “Can’t refresh the app this morning. Tried deleting and then download the app. Now can’t log at all.”

And another confirmed: “Wouldn’t refresh the feed, upload a photo or let me comment. Deleted and reinstalled app, now saying there’s a problem their end and it won’t let me log on.”
