The former Juventus star eventually made it back to Manchester an hour after the rest of the squad, having travelled on an official United executive and fan flight.
The 25-year-old was spotted arriving home with club staff and supporters before making his way out of the terminal with a friend.
UEFA randomly selects players from both teams to undergo anti-doping tests after every match, with Pogba the name pulled out of the hat this time.
However, he won’t be too upset by the inconvenience after the win greatly increased United’s chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Jose Mourinho’s side are now just two points behind Juve in Group H and two clear of Valencia with just a couple of matches remaining.
The Portuguese boss was seen receiving a handshake from executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at Manchester Airport after a job well done.
United’s next challenge is a trip to the Etihad for the Manchester derby this Sunday, with the Red Devils looking to make up ground on the league leaders.
