Avengers 4: Trailer due SOON after Marvel kicks off promotion with THIS?

The movie still doesn’t have an official title or any hint of a trailer.

However, the Marvel movie now has its own page on the studio’s website, complete with a countdown clock ticking down towards release.

At time of writing, that’s 175 days.

The URL for the page lists it still as “Avengers Untitled” – meaning the rumoured name of Avengers: Annihilation has still not been confirmed.

So are we now entering the official build-up campaign to Avengers 4?

Certainly it’ll open less than two months after Captain Marvel – and we’re now almost two months on from when that movie released its first trailer, so by that timeline, we’re due a clip soon.

We’re also almost a year on from the first trailer coming out for Avengers: Infinity War (which hit cinemas at the same time of year as Avengers 4 will).

Granted, Avengers 4 hardly needs much promotion: it’s already on a huge wave of hype, thanks to the almighty cliffhanger that ended Infinity War.

But fans are clamouring for more details on how the next movie will work, given that half of its characters are seemingly dead – but still confirmed to appear.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange, appeared to pour cold water on the idea that they could simply come back to life.

“I’m dust, baby,” he told Jimmy Fallon.

“I’m just out there. I’m in the ether. I’m probably part of your food chain. I’m in your stomach somewhere.”

Speaking of being part of the MCU, he beamed: “It’s ludicrous. It just gets sort of giddy and unreal, to be honest.

“I mean, just being part of that franchise is a kick, let alone the people I got to have screen time with and the story that I was sort of part of.

“I mean, it was really extraordinary to do and even more weird and wonderful to see it roll out and get that kind of reception.”

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019 in the UK and May 3 in the US.
