Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

Before his run for office he was considered somewhat of a celebrity, after starring in the US version of the apprentice.

Now married to Melania Trump, 48, he lives in the White House with her and his son Barron Trump, 12.

His daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared live in Washington nearby and work with the President.

According to Forbes Donald Trump has a net worth of $3.1 billion, easily making him one of the richest men in the world.

The New Yorker was the first ever billionaire to hold the office of President.

Despite his massive wealth he comes in at number 259 in Forbes top 400 list, proving just how much wealth the rich posses.

He is the 45th president, and assumed office in on 20 January 2017.

His father was a business man, a real estate developer.

He was successful, and Donald was given a role in his company E. Trump & Son.

In 1971 the president became the head of the company, and he renamed it The Trump Organization.

Donald Trump’s wife Melania was mocked as she posted a certain message during the midterm elections. 

Melania took to social media to implore US citizens to vote.

However, her message was mocked by some on the social media site.

The mother-of-one to Barron Trump, 12, wrote: “Vote Red. MAGA.”

She posted the message along side a image that simply said “vote” in red letters and had a flag emoji.

One Twitter user replied, appearing to comment on the minimalist message.

They wrote: “A blazing endorsement from the First Lady.”

In a similar vein another wrote: “This is some really beautifully designed content, have you considered using the emoji/block text on plain white background look?”

Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.

Religion

After Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania is the second First Lady who is a practising Catholic.

She met Pope Francis as part of a foreign tour with her husband and stepdaughter Ivanka last year.

Career

Melania was a successful model, posing for Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and GQ.

Her skills aren’t confined to print, and she appeared in a commercial for Aflac, an American insurance company, in 2005.

Family

Melania’s parents are Amalija Knavs and Viktor Knavs, and the couple live together in Washington.

She has one sister, Ines, who is reported to live in New York and work as an artist.

Charity

On May 7 2018, Melania launched her flagship campaign as First Lady, BE BEST, which The White House describes as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children”.

There are three main strands to the initiative: well-being, social media, and opioid abuse.
