Pokemon Go‘s next major event is about to go live, as Niantic releases another Special Raid Challenge.
The next Special Raid Challenge takes place on Saturday, November 3 and focuses on Ghost-type Pokemon Gengar.
The Gengar Special Raid Challenge has a 10am start time in the UK, and ends three hours later at 1pm.
“Are you ready for a challenge?” reads a recent Niantic post. “On Saturday, November 3, there will be a Special Raid Challenge! For three hours, Gengar will be available in Raid Battles!”
The best part about the new Gengar Raids is that you also get the chance to encounter a brand new shiny.
You’ll also receive up to five Raid Passes from nearby Gyms at no extra cost.
The news comes as Niantic begins to roll out the brand new Adventure Sync feature.
Currently only available to high level players, Adventure Sync tracks your walking distance when Pokemon Go isn’t running.
Instead, it works alongside Apple Health and Google Fit to tally your distance, earn Candy and hatch eggs.
“Plus, Adventure Sync will deliver a weekly summary, where you can see your Incubator and Candy progress as well as important activity statistics,” Niantic continues.
“Check in via your Trainer Profile to see the number of kilometers recorded for the week.
“Earn rewards each week for each milestone you cross, and receive push notifications when your Buddy Pokemon has found a Candy or when an Egg is about to hatch!”
Niantic has even released a handy user guide for when Adventure Sync becomes available for all players.
How to activate Adventure Sync…
To use this feature, you’ll have to always enable location permissions and connect to either Apple Health or Google Fit.
• Tap the Main Menu button.
• Tap the Settings button.
• Tap on Adventure Sync. You’ll also be prompted to grant permissions for Pokémon GO to access your Apple Health or Google Fit data.
• To disable Adventure Sync, just revisit the settings page and uncheck Adventure Sync
