PS Plus November 2018: Great news for Sony ahead of free PS4 games reveal today

Having had to wait a little longer than usual for the news, the official PS Plus November 2018 lineup of free games look set to be revealed today.

Because of how the dates fall in October, fans will have to wait until Tuesday, November 6 to download whatever new titles are confirmed.

And PlayStation Plus subscribers are hoping it will be worth the wait.

This year has been good for free PS4 games and hopes are high that some other top titles will be added to the PS Plus library next.

It was revealed this week that the PS4 continues to sell well for Sony, 86.1 million PlayStation 4 units shipped so far.

This is an increase of around 4 million units from the last time the tech giant announced stats on the subject, back in August.

The recent Sony financial report also confirmed other more surprising numbers regarding the PS Plus subscription service.

It has now been confirmed that PlayStation Plus has helped bring about an 8% upward revision in sales.

This includes the sales of PS4 hardware, as well as increases in sales of the PlayStation Plus subscription service.

An exact share hasn’t been revealed but will be welcome news following the dip in subscribers during the time period of March 2018 to June 2018.

According to the data shared at the time, there were 34.2 million PlayStation Plus subscribers in March, compared to 33.9 million subscribers in June.

Sony has prioritised growing and maintaining PS Plus subscriptions as part of its business strategy moving forward.

And some big news is expected to be shared today at around 4pm in the UK.

The next batch of free PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita games will be revealed on Wednesday, October 31.

And the new free games will be released just under a week later on November 6.

And it looks like, according to an official Sony website, that Yakuza Kiwami and Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition will be part of November PlayStation Plus.

This was revealed via an apparent PlayStation website leak earlier this year, although PlayStation themselves haven’t confirmed as official yet.

October games will remain available to download until just before the PlayStation Store refresh.

Fans can currently download Friday the 13th: The Game and Laser League on PS4, with The Bridge also available on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

It should be noted that the content you have downloaded as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription at no charge is only accessible as long as you are an active subscriber.

The exceptions are free themes and avatars, which you will continue to have access to, even if you are no longer a subscriber.

Anything you have purchased (even if you bought it at a discount) will remain available to you even if your subscription ends.

Also, different countries have different rights, release schedules and, have different things available on their PlayStation Store for this reason.

So this is why you may hear about different games being available in Asia, Europe and North America when it comes to some PS Plus announcements.
