OnePlus 6T ultimate deals – How to get this new budget flagship for the best price

The OnePlus 6T was unveiled on Monday, October 29, and comes packing a number of improvements over its predecessor, the OnePlus 6.

OnePlus 6T is immediately distinguishable thanks to its teardrop-shaped notch that sits at the top of its 6.41-inch AMOLED screen.

The panel represents a slight increase in size from the OnePlus 6 that came with a 6.28-inch display.

Just like the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T comes with a Snapdragon 845 processor that is accompanied by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

However, the OnePlus 6T should provide users with greatly-improved battery life thanks to the larger pack that sits under its hood.

OnePlus 6T has a 3,700mAh battery the Chinese firm claims represents a 20 percent increase in life compared to the OnePlus 6.

Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the OnePlus 6T and is presented with the Shenzhen-based firm’s signature Oxygen OS skin on top of it.

The OnePlus 6T starts at £499 for the base-level model that has a mirror black finish, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

However, there are a number of other variants of the flagship available.

• OnePlus 6T mirror black 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage – £529

• OnePlus 6T midnight black 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage – £529

• OnePlus 6T midnight black 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage – £579

However, OnePlus is giving fans a number of ways to get money off their newest flagship.

The Chinese giant is allowing customers to trade-in their old devices for either cash back or a voucher that can be used to cut down the OnePlus 6T’s price.

On its website, OnePlus said: “Put your old device to good use in our trade-in program and get the OnePlus 6T for less.

“There has never been a better time to trade up to the OnePlus 6T.”

Once the customer’s old device has been selected, OnePlus then presents a form that needs to be filled out to get a better idea of its current condition.

For an iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB of storage, OnePlus is offering customers up to £160.

Such an offer would slash the price of the entry-level OnePlus 6T model down to just £339.

OnePlus has typically only sold its devices on its own site, but the 6T is breaking that trend by launching on all the UK’s major carriers.

That means the OnePlus 6T can be picked up on O2 for instance.

Customers going through UK networks can also take advantage of their respective trade-in programmes.

An iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB of storage can be sold to O2 for £230.

Best of all, the money offered is available to be transferred to customers via a “same day” bank transfer.

O2’s offering would take the cost of the entry-level OnePlus 6T down to £269, making the new flagship incredibly tantalising.

The OnePlus 6T will release on November 6 and comes in midnight and mirror black finishes.

The hardware is available on O2, EE, Vodafone on contracts but can be purchased outright through John Lewis, Amazon and Data Select.
