Games with Gold fans only have a short window of time to download the free Xbox One games from October.
These will soon be replaced by the new November collection, which includes a good mix of different titles.
In a few hours time, fans will be able to download Battlefield 1on Xbox One, followed by Race the Sun later in November.
And because of Backwards Compatibility, fans will also have the choice of grabbing the original Assassin’s Creed from Xbox 360.
However, until these go live, there’s a small window of opportunity to add October’s games to your digital library.
These include Overcooked on Xbox One and Hitman: Blood Money from Xbox 360.
The good news is that Victor Vran will remain available to download until November 15, being replaced by Race the Sun on November 16.
For those that don’t know what Overcooked is about, here’s a short description from Microsoft:
“Get ready for some chaotic fun with Overcooked!
“Join up to four of your friends as you and your fellow chefs prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty dishes, all before your baying customers storm out.
“With a bevy of kitchens across outlandish locations, the “steaks” are high as you test your culinary skills to the limit.”
Microsoft has also confirmed another Xbox Live Gold bonus will be available to try out this weekend, on top of the new free Xbox One titles.
Starting at 5:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 30 and running until 9:00 a.m. PDT on Monday, November 5, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download and play Just Cause 3.
With over 400 square miles of complete freedom from sky to seabed and a huge selection of explosive weaponry, gadgets and vehicles, Just Cause 3 is a great way to warm up for the release of Just Cause 4 in December.
To download Just Cause 3 during the Free Play Weekend event, search for the game on the Microsoft Store via the Xbox Dashboard.
For those who don’t know, Games with Gold offers free Xbox games to qualifying Xbox Live Gold members.
The program provides Gold members with free games every month, worth up to $700 per year, according to Microsoft.
Games with Gold is available to all Xbox Live Gold members, which can be redeemed from the Gold widget on the Xbox One home screen.
Titles can also be found if you download the Xbox One SmartGlass app, and go to the Microsoft Store and then page right.
When you select a game, it’ll be stored in your account and ready for download when you sign in to your console.
It should also be noted that new Games with Gold titles become available on the first and the sixteenth day of every month.
