Xbox Backwards Compatibility UPDATE: Four new games to play on Xbox One

The Xbox Backwards Compatibility library continues to grow with the new games from the Xbox 360.

Still providing popular among fans, there are now plenty of titles to choose from when it comes to classic titles.

For those wanting to finish the story of Red Dead Redemption 2, they can download and play the original RDR onto their Xbox One console.

And today has seen Microsoft added four more games to the popular Backwards Compatibility program.

And it will certainly prove popular with fans of the Castlevania series from Capcom.

Xbox One owners can now download Just Cause, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD.

These games should now be available to download via the My Games and Apps section, or through installing with a disc.

Backwards Compatibility remains a popular feature from Microsoft, who is set to carry on supporting it into the future.

That means that old Xbox One games should be available to play on Microsoft’s next console, the Xbox Two.

This was a guarantee made by the Xbox team when Backwards Compatibility was first launched by Microsoft.

For those that don’t know, the Backwards Compatibility program is a system in which old Xbox and Xbox 360 games are run as an emulation on the Xbox One.

However, only select digital, and disc-based Xbox 360 and Original Xbox games can be played on Xbox One.

These backwards-compatible games use an emulator for the older Xbox operating systems, providing most features of those systems, such as screenshots, broadcasting, and Game DVR.

For example, Xbox One owners playing an Xbox 360 game can still play with their friends on the Xbox 360.

It should also be noted that accessories designed for Xbox 360 or Original Xbox, and games requiring those accessories, don’t work on Xbox One.

This means racing wheels, fight sticks, and other accessories won’t work with Xbox 360 or Original Xbox games you play on Xbox One. Also, games that use the Xbox 360 Kinect will not work with Kinect on Xbox One.

And if you earned achievements on Xbox 360, you’ll still have them when you play on Xbox One.
