How do I change your Gmail settings?

Select settings and the make changes you want, such as adding an email signature or modify which emails you are notified about.

Visit Gmail’s site.

Click Settings in the top right of the screen.

Choose a settings page, such as General, Labels, or Inbox, then confirm the changes.

Click Save Changes at the bottom after you are done with each page.

How do I modify email notifications?

Turn on notifications to receive alerts when you get new emails.

You can receive notifications on Chrome, Firefox, or Safari when you are signed in to Google Gmail and it is open in your browser.

Remember, you will miss notifications if notifications are turned off on your browser.

Start by opening Gmail.

Then click Settings on the top right of the screen.

Scroll to the Desktop Notifications section.

Then turn on New Mail, Important Mail on or Mail notifications off.

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

If you use inbox categories and turned on notifications for new mail, you’ll only get notifications about messages in your Primary category.

And if you turned on notifications for important mail, you’ll get notifications for everything marked as important.

How do I create a Gmail signature?

An email signature is text, such as your contact details that is automatically included at the end of messages as a footer.

You can put up to 10,000 characters in your signature.

Click Settings Settings and then Settings in the top right of the screen.

Add your signature text in the box in the Signature section.

You can also format your message by adding an image or changing the text style.

At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
