WWE Evolution: Who will Ronda Rousey face next after dominating win against Nikki Bella?

Rousey made Bella tap out to the Armbar and later celebrated on stage with a number of superstars from the women’s division except for one who could be her next challenger.

Nia Jax won the Women’s Battle Royal earlier on at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York after last eliminating Ember Moon and then immediately announced her intention to regain the RAW Women’s Championship.

Jax, who won the right to challenge for a women’s title in the near future, said: “I wish the best of luck to Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey… Whoever wins I hope they enjoy the moment, because it won’t last long.”

After Rousey retained her title, The Irresistible Force was spotted backstage watching the champion celebrating from a television screen and seemed set to lay claim to her former title.

Jax and the UFC Hall of Famer had a short rivalry last summer shortly after the 31-year-old fighter joined WWE from Dana White’s promotion.

In fact, the UFC legend’s first Singles Match was against the battle royal winner last June at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View.

Their bout, however, was marred in controversy as the first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion won via disqualification following interference by Alexa Bliss.

Bliss cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase, which she had won on the same night, and after brutalising ‘Rowdy’ she hit Jax with Twisted Bliss to regain the belt.

Rousey’s feud with The Irresistible Force came to an end as the MMA hero was slapped with a scripted suspension and the former RAW Women’s Champion faced The Goddess in a losing effort at Extreme Rules.

Evolution though probably reignited their rivalry as The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s angle with Bella may not continue due to the reality star’s business outside of professional wrestling.

Jax struggled last time she faced Rousey as she almost tapped out to the Armbar before Bliss interfered at the closing moments.

But the 34-year-old grappler is one of the most dangerous and toughest superstars in the women’s division as she has taken out the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley and Charlotte Flair.

She won her one and only RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34 last April at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans after defeating Bliss.

But Rousey stole the show that night in Louisiana as she put together arguably the most impressive in-ring debut of all time when she teamed up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle and destroyed Stephanie McMahon as well as Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

She then went on to dominate the women’s division and dethroned Bliss at SummerSlam last August – just four months after her wrestling bow – and became the first ever female athlete to win a major title in both WWE and UFC.
