Tom Brady: NFL pundit makes admission over New England Patriots star

Brady is a five-time Super Bowl winner with the New England Patriots and still going strong at the age of 41.

The quarterback has spent his whole career in New England having been drafter in 2000.

Brady wasn’t a first round pick though. He wasn’t even a second.

Brady was eventually picked up in the sixth round of draft action and started the 2000 season as the fourth string quarterback.

He made his first start in the third game of the 2001 season, the Pats winning 11 games of the 14 Brady started.

Indeed, the QB led New England all the way to Super Bowl glory in that season and he hasn’t looked back.

And Witten acknowledged Brady has had a tricky path and that’s what should be most respected of his glittering career.

“Tom Brady’s came a long way,” Witten said during ESPN’s coverage of Patriots’ clash with Buffalo Bills.

“You know the thing I admire about Tom Brady the most, he wasn’t the guy that was drafted in the first round.

“He’s a self-made superstar.

“He knew who he was, he worked on his throwing motion, he worked on his body.

“And now he’s playing, over 40 years old, with his TB12 method.

“That’s the thing I admire about him the most.”
