UPDATE ONE: OnePlus 6T will be announced by the Shenzhen-based firm in 30minutes.

OnePlus’ 6T keynote will start at 3pm GMT.

Ahead of the launch the company has posted footage on Twitter of media and influencers queuing to attend the launch.

ORIGINAL STORY: OnePlus 6T is the Shenzhen-based firm’s latest smartphone entry.

OnePlus 6T has already been confirmed to arrive with a fingerprint reader underneath its display that will allow for a brand-new way to unlock the device.

Such a feature was recently shown off by Huawei with its debut of the Mate 20 Pro.

The method is expected to arrive alongside OnePlus’ signature face unlocking in addition to traditional passcode authentication.

It has also been revealed the OnePlus 6T will be the first phone from the company to forgo a headphone jack.

Although OnePlus insisted making such a decision for the 6T was difficult, it declared the choice would allow for other handy improvements such as longer battery life.

OnePlus 6T is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset and come in multiple varieties.

It is presumed the Chinese firm will offer the 6T with both 6GB and 8GB of RAM depending on the model.

On its Twitter account, OnePlus has also suggested the 6T could have a larger display than its predecessor.

The firm recently posted a caption that read: “With a bigger screen, you can scroll less and see more.”

The tweet was accompanied by a video that featured the number “6.40”, hinting the OnePlus 6T could come with a 6.4-inch display.

If true, this would mark a noticeable increase from the OnePlus 6 that came with a 6.28-inch panel.

Just like all of its products, OnePlus is expected to offer the 6T at a price substantially lower than its premium rivals.

The company will be streaming its hardware keynote in New York City on its website.
