There’s not long to wait until the new OnePlus 6T is finally shown off to the world.
OnePlus has a major event scheduled for later today where the Chinese firm will reveal the future of their smartphones.
This all-new device is expected to be their most advanced to date with rumours suggesting a phone that could take on the likes of the Galaxy S9, Xperia XZ3 and Google Pixel 3.
So, if you’re a big OnePlus fan here’s everything you need to know about today’s big launch event.
WHAT TIME DOES THE ONEPLUS 6T EVENT START?
The OnePlus 6T launch event is taking place in New York and is expected to begin around 11am local time – that’s 3pm BST.
WHAT WILL BE NEW ON THE ONEPLUS 6T?
OnePlus has already revealed plenty of news about the new 6T.
The Chinese firm has told fans that the new phone will feature an embedded fingerprint scanner under the screen and won’t come with a headphone port.
Although not confirmed, we are guessing that leaving out this socket will mean more space to fit a larger battery inside the phone.
Leaked images have also shown a much smaller teardrop notch at the top of the display.
Other changes that fans will be hoping for include wireless charging and a more water-resistant design.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
We’ll have to wait for the event to get underway before we find out full pricing.
However, a new leak from Mobile Fun suggests prices will start from £499 – £30 more than the OnePlus 6.
Although this price may not be popular it’s worth noting that Mobile Fun says the new phone will only come with two memory sizes of 128GB and 256GB with no 64GB model going on sale.
If true that may justify the higher starting cost.
WHEN CAN I BUY ONE?
The OnePlus 6T will go on sale early next month but some lucky fans will be able to grab one a little sooner.
The company has just revealed how people can be the first in Europe to buy a OnePlus 6T at its pop-ups on 31st October.
