Midterms elections polls 2018: When do US midterms polling stations open?

On November 6, Americans will head to the polls to cast their vote on candidates for all 435 House seats and 35 of 100 Senate seats.

This year’s election will be the US voters first chance to pass judgment on Donald Trump since he was elected President in 2016.

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for grabs, as well as 35 of the 100 Senates.

As all the House of Representatives seats are up for election, governors across America are either fighting to defend their seat or fighting to flip the seat in their favour.

Republicans are hoping to hold on to control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Donald Trump is has been making rallies for and endorsing different Republican candidates for both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

President Trump is facing extremely high pressure since a Democratic victory in either chamber would give the party the power to open investigations into various aspects of his administration.

Although the Republican Party currently holds majorities in both chambers of the US Congress but normally the President’s party loses seats in a midterm election.
