Red Dead Redemption 2 REVIEW countdown: Is new Rockstar release a 5 star classic?

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are counting down the minutes until review scores go live.

Rockstar’s Western adventure has an October 26 release date on PS4 and Xbox One.

But fans will find out how the game holds up when review scores go live a day before launch.

According to a new Metacritic tweet, the Red Dead Redemption 2 review embargo lifts on October 25.

“Reviews will start going up on Thursday, October 25 at 4:01am Pacific. Any Metascore predictions for this HIGHLY anticipated title?”

The time difference means that UK fans will find out at 12.01pm BST on Thursday, October 25.

Will Red Dead Redemption 2 be another 5-star classic from Rockstar? Express Online will have a round-up of the review scores when they go live.

Whether you care about review scores or not, fans can pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 now.

To ensure you get the best deal, Express Online has scoured the web for the best deals and cheapest prices.

Retail prices are all pretty similar, while digital versions cost roughly £10 more.

HMV is currently the cheapest high street retailer with a price of £47.99.

In the run up to the October 26 launch, Rockstar has posted new information about the game’s weapons.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will boast more than 50 weapons, and a ton of customisation options.

“There are over 50 unique usable weapons, a massive range of options for customisation, and a wide selection of different ammunition types to improve accuracy, range or damage,” reads a Rockstar post.

Interestingly, the weapons will actually degrade over time, which means you’re going to need to take care of them.
