Fortnite Gargoyles: Dance at different Gargoyle challenge map locations

developer Epic Games has released a new set of challenges as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween event.

Fans can unlock Halloween-themed rewards and XP by completing the various challenges.

Part one contains four challenges, including one that tasks players with dancing in front of five different Gargoyles.

Fans will also need to destroy 500 Cube Monsters, deal 5,000 damage to Cube Monsters and visit Corrupted Areas in seven different matches.

A second set of four challenges will be released in three days, followed by further challenges in five days and seven days.

If you’re struggling to find the Gargoyle map locations on the Fortnite map, check out the image below for their locations.

You’ll need to dance in front of five Gargoyles, but you don’t have to do so in one match.

One of the Gargoyles can be found west of Lazy Links inside the Umbrella mine, while another is in the Tomato Temple courtyard.

Needless to say, there’s also a Gargoyle in the castle at Haunted Hills. There’s one in the basement of a house in Retail Row, and a final Gargoyle in the Viking village.

There appears to be more than five Gargoyle statues in total, as one user finds a Gargoyle on top of the huge mountain north of Flush Factory.

If you’re struggling to find the Gargoyles, listen out for the noise they make.

• Destroy Cube Monsters (200) – 500XP

• Deal damage with assault rifles or pistols to Cube Monsters (5,000) – 500XP

• Visit a Corrupted Area in Different Matches – (7) – 500XP

• Dance in front of different Gargoyles (5) – 500XP

Fortnitemares is a limited time event that takes place in the lead up to Halloween.

Epic reveals more in a recent blog post, explaining that Fortnitemares introduces PvE elements to Battle Royale.

“The Cube strikes back, bringing Fortnitemares to Battle Royale! Drop in and discover what the Cube has unleashed,” reads the post.

It turns out that Cube Fragments spawn monsters, which come in multiple different types.

Large Cube Fragments can be found near corrupted areas of the island, while Small Cube Fragments are created randomly throughout the match.
