Reports suggest the parts were cut up and found in the garden of the Saudi Consul General in Istanbul.
There are also claims his face has been disfigured.
The latest development comes just hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded to know “where the corpse was” in a major public address.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has insisted it will hold to account those responsible of journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s killing and those who failed in their duties, whoever they are, the Saudi cabinet said after a meeting chaired by King Salman on Tuesday.
Khashoggi went missing on October 2 when he entered the consulate in Istanbul. After weeks of denying knowledge of his fate, Saudi officials said the prominent journalist was killed in a “rogue operation”.
On Saturday, Saudi officials admitted the journalist died in a ‘fist-fight’ inside the consulate.
Following the announcement that Mr Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate, the government said that 18 Saudi officials were detained in connection with his death.
The dismembered body of the journalist supports the Turkish government’s story that a 15-man Saudi hit squad carried out the premeditated murder of the journalist inside the consulate.
President Erdogan has called of those involved in the murder to stand trial in Istanbul.
The Turkish president has not mentioned the prince in his speech, but officials linked to the royal have been implicated in the killing.
Erdogan said his death was planned days in advance by Saudi officials.
Prime Minister Theresa May’s spokesman said: “Saudi Arabia has taken an important step by admitting the murder.
“As of now we expect of them to openly bring to light those responsible – from the highest ranked to the lowest – and to bring them to justice.”
“President Erdogan’s statement this morning underscores the fact there remain questions which only the Saudis have the answers to.”
Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told Fox News: “The individuals who did this did this outside the scope of their authority.
“There obviously was a tremendous mistake made, and what compounded the mistake was the attempt to try to cover up.”
Turkey’s pro-government newspaper Yeni Safak published what they said were audio recordings which document Mr Khasgoggi’s torture and death.
A Turkish source close to the investigation told Middle East Eye Mr Khashoggi was dragged from the consul general’s office and onto the table of a study inside the consulate.
President Erdogan said Turkey would not complete its investigation into Khashoggi’s death until all questions were answered and Turkey found out the identity of a local collaborator that Riyadh says disposed of the body.
He said: “The Saudi administration has taken an important step by admitting to the murder. From now on, we expect them to uncover all those responsible for this matter from top to bottom and make them face the necessary punishments.
“From the person who gave the order, to the person who carried it out, they must all be brought to account.”
On October 18, a Turkish forensic science team conducted a nine-hour investigation into the consul general’s home and of his consular vehicles.
