VW T Cross 2019 details event details teased ahead of launch event THIS week

Volkswagen has confirmed that the all-new T-Cross will launch later this week.

The car will be unveiled at an event in Amsterdam on October 25th.

Along with the announcement of the launch event, it released a number of design sketches of the car revealing hat the design of the vehicle is likely to look like from the front.

The supermini SUV will have youthful and attractive hatchback looks but in a slightly larger package.

It also sports the new flat full-face grille design which has adorned newer car such as the Arteon and Touareg recently.

The grille satisfyingly envelopes the headlights into the surrounding section in a smaller version of the grille in the T-Roc, a car which it will likely borrow heavily from in terms of design.

In a teaser video aired by the firm on Twitter, the car will also come in a bold spectrum of colours.

This is somewhat of a trend with compact crossovers having striking colours, contrasting colour roofs and a plethora of customisation options.

Other design sketches show the car’s distinctive rear end which gets a rear strip light stretching across the width of the body.

This customisation looks to carry on inside the car with the twelve exterior and interior colours which will compliment each other, in addition to the bi-colour paintwork options.

In another video, the car will also come with colour-matching alloy rims.

The new T-Cross will be VW’s entry-level SUV sitting below the T-Roc.

It has a length of 4,107 mm, has 455 litres of cargo capacity comes in front-wheel drive.

VW describes the car as “both practical and cool, intuitively driveable and safe.”

It will be available with four turbocharged engine options.

The gasoline engines (TSI) are to be equipped with gasoline particle filters and will have power outputs of 70 kW / 95 PS, 85 kW / 115 PS and 110 kW / 150 PS.

The power output of the diesel (TDI) will be 70 kW / 95 PS.

Volkswagen has also included an emergency braking via the City Emergency Braking System, including Pedestrian Monitoring as standard and Lane Assist lane-keeping assistant.

A number of other systems including Blind Spot Sensor including Rear Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control will come as options.

It will share Volkswagen’s MQB A0 platform, with cars such as the VW Polo, Arona, and Audi A1.

Expected pricing for the car is likely to start at around £17,000 when it launches.
