Man Utd star Alexis Sanchez misses training ahead of Juventus – but there’s a surprise ace

Manchester United star Sanchez has struggled for form this season, scoring just one goal and registering an assist.

The 29-year-old was stuck on the bench at the weekend, eventually coming on in the closing stages of their 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Manchester United with PSG, Real Madrid and even Arsenal all tipped to sign him.

And BBC reporter Simon Stone has now revealed the forward has missed training on the eve of their Champions League showdown with Massililiano Allegri’s side.

He tweeted: “No Sanchez ⁦@ManUtd⁩ training.”

Stone then added: “Fellaini, Dalot, Mctominay, Lingard and Lindelof also missing.”

but is not with the squad.

However, there’s a major surprise at Carrington training today. Youngster Tahith Chong has been spotted among the United players undergoing their exercises as they aim to get their European campaign back on track.

Academy players Tom Sang and Zach Dearnley are also present.

Meanwhile, United star Andreas Pereira has warned Juventus to expect a motivated Red Devils side tomorrow night.

“We have shown that we can bounce back, that we still have faith and we are the Man United that everyone talks about,” he told the club’s official website.

“It’s never finished with us, we always keep going. We can always bounce back and change a game around and if we keep doing well hopefully more wins will come.

“It was difficult at the start of the game [against Chelsea] but like the manager has said to us, we need to keep our confidence and keep doing well.

“In the second half, we scored two very good goals and then in the end we were a bit unlucky with the second goal we conceded.

“But I think we did very well and deserved more.

“I think this gives us a lot of confidence for Tuesday and the manager gives us that confidence, too.

“We take a good feeling into the next game. We’re very pumped up for Tuesday.”
