Gmail sign in: Can you login to Gmail abroad – is it safe to login on a shared computer?

Gmail is the world’s most popular email service, with an incredible 1.4 billion people regularly logging on to manage their messages.

Google email does, however, face frequent criticism from people who travel abroad, with many complaining of being blocked from using their account due to their unfamiliar location.

To verify your account you ask to receive a confirmation code via text message.

But what if you’re somewhere with wifi, but without mobile reception?

How to login to your Gmail login abroad:

Visit your Google account homepage.

Click on Sign in and security and scroll down to the 2 step verification.

You will be asked to sign in.

Scroll down to backup codes.

If you have already generated backup codes, you see Show Codes.

Click on Show Codes.

If you have not already generated the codes, you will see Set Codes.

Click there to generate the codes.

While traveling you can use this codes as backup codes for signing in to Google.

Select this option the next time you try to sign in to Google from a device.

How do you change or reset your Gmail password?

You can change your password for security reasons or reset it if you forget it.

Your Google Account password is used to access many Google products, like Gmail and YouTube.

You might need to sign in to open your Google Account.

Select Signing in to Google under Sign In and Security.

You might need to sign in again to choose a new password.

Then simply enter your new password, then select Change Password.

Remember, always log out of your email service if you are using a computer shared with others.
