Red Dead Redemption 2 release date update: Shock 2019 launch NEWS

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have been given fresh hope about a PC release for the upcoming Rockstar release.

Dutch website MediaMarkt lists Red Dead Redemption 2 for a 2019 release date on PC.

Rockstar is yet to officially announce a PC release for Red Dead Redemption 2, but fans have remained hopeful.

The retailer has given Red Dead Redemption 2 a placeholder release date of December 31, 2019.

As VG247 points out, the listing could be a mistake, although it’s not the first time a PC version has been discussed.

A Rockstar developer previously listed the game on their LinkedIn profile.

GTA 5 also came out on PC, but only after it appeared on PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

With anticipation at an all-time high, it has just been revealed when reviews will drop for the new Red Dead release.

According to a new Metacritic tweet, the Red Dead Redemption 2 review embargo lifts on October 25.

“Reviews will start going up on Thursday, October 25 at 4:01am Pacific. Any Metascore predictions for this HIGHLY anticipated title?”

The time difference means that UK fans will find out at 12.01pm BST on Thursday, October 25.

In the run up to the October 26 launch, Rockstar has posted new information about the game’s weapons.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will boast more than 50 weapons, and a ton of customisation options.

“There are over 50 unique usable weapons, a massive range of options for customisation, and a wide selection of different ammunition types to improve accuracy, range or damage,” reads a Rockstar post.

Interestingly, the weapons will actually degrade over time, which means you’re going to need to take care of them.

“The more a gun is used, the better it will perform, but it will also start to degrade over time if not looked after, so a trusty sidearm needs to be kept oiled and clean.”
