Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL price crash – Google slashes costs to new low in ultimate deal

may have just announced its new Pixel 3 but now may be a very good time to pick up the older Pixel 2 and 2 XL.

The technology giant has just slashed the price of its current flagship with the standard Pixel now available from £479 and the larger XL model now on sale for £599.

Both of these deals offer a huge saving of £200 off the original price.

Although not confirmed it seems the reason for this big cut is the impending launch of the Pixel 3.

Google’s new phone will arrive in stores early next month but that doesn’t mean the Pixel 2 should now be ignored.

These older devices are both excellent and feature one of the purest Android experiences on the market.

The rear camera is also regarded as one of the finest smartphone snappers around with it scoring top marks from the team DxO.

In fact, at the time of the initial review, the camera testing firm said: “The Google Pixel 2 is the top-performing mobile device camera we’ve tested, with a record-setting overall score of 98.”

Other features include a Snapdragon 835 processor, front-facing stereo speakers and an always-on display.

A saving of £200 is clearly very inviting but it’s worth noting that the new Pixel 3 does bring some new features to this popular brand of phones.

You’ll find a faster processor, improved camera and the ability to charge Google’s new flagship wirelessly.

The larger 3 XL also now includes an edge-to-edge display which covers almost the entire front of the phone.

However, all this new technology means you will pay a premium.

Price for the Pixel 3 start from £739 with the XL costing £869.

They come in three colours including Clearly White, Not Pink and Just Black with pre-orders available now and them arriving in stores from November 1.
