Fortnite Save the World free code latest as Epic tease Halloween season 6

The patches keep coming for Fortnite Save the World, with the latest adding new content to the game.

There are still some red flags when it comes to bugs and performance issues, but it looks like things are moving in the right direction.

And it appears that Epic Games has a lot more planned during season 6 than just bug fixes.

Fans may remember that the development team shared an update on their plans for the game last week.

The development team provided hints on its inclusion earlier this month, telling fans during a dev blog that they had more surprises coming.

Fortnitemares introduced the “Trap the Storm” mission type and could well add new content this year too.

Heroes were also offered up as part of the Halloween event, which will no doubt be a massive part of Battle Royale mode too.

Fans are also hoping for some kind of update regarding the release of Fortnite Save the World free codes.

STW is supposed to be switching to a free-to-play model during 2018, meaning it should arrive during season 6.

So far nothing has been shared on the subject, with the official Epic Games website only confirming that it is still scheduled for this year.

A big Halloween could be a great time for free codes to finally be released, what with Fortnitemares being original to STW.

With Save the World switching to F2P, it would stand to reason that Epic Games will use cosmetics to support it moving forward.

And the word costume certainly stands out as something that could be added for the STW heroes.

Providing a locker for fans to use in STW would make it possible for cosmetics to be sold across both games.

However, this remains speculation at this time, with Epic Games keeping tight-lipped on their F2P plans for the Save the World.

What we do know is that new Canny Valley story content is being released during season 6, along with new locations to visit.

Power Ratings are also being tweaked and will go from being based around the party leader’s power rating to something covering the whole team’s combined strength.

Team members who aren’t bringing enough muscle will be removed, although this option will still be available to use in private matches.

Other Halloween rumours connected to Save the World suggest new quests will be shared.

Over ten new quests will be released as part of the returning Fortnitemares event and will be available on all platforms.

The power rating on some of these missions goes as high as level 58 and will be released very soon.

The Top Tier quest is The Haunting Never Dies – You are now ready to take on the hauntings in Canny Valley. Take down the husks, Commander. Master your fears!

If teasers are now being released for Halloween, fans can expect some kind of announcement from Epic Games this week.

This will likely heavily favour Fortnite Battle Royale, but there’s no way the development team would pass up Fortnitemares in Save the World.

More could be revealed on Tuesday, October 23, which is when new updates are usually released.
