Pokemon GO regional exclusives: How to catch locked region exclusive Pokemon?

How do you catch locked region exclusive Pokemon?

Each generation of Pokemon has several creatures that are tied to specific places.

These can be exclusive to countries such as Tauros in the US, whole continents like Europe’s Mr. Mime, certain regions like Corsola in the Tropic, and even whole hemisphere such as Lunatone and Solrock.

These regional exclusives are common spawns, meaning they should be easy to catch.

Finding them out in the wild is the only way, though – barring any kind of special events they cannot be hatched in Eggs, found in nests or spawn in gyms.

But do not worry if you do not travel – Generation 3 set the precedent for creatures occasionally swapping round, such as Zangoose and Seviper

Others, such as Plusle and Minun, dropped their regional exclusive status altogether.

And a minority will even temporarily shift for special events, such as Farfetch’d during Pokemon Go’s 2017 Travel Challenge.

“Get ready to see Pokémon like Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup as they appear in Pokemon GO for the first time ever.”
