Avengers 4 trailer: Bad news – THIS latest rumour hinting at release is FALSE

Earlier today rumours spread like wildfire that the first teaser for Marvel’s follow-up to Infinity War is on its way, and is in the process of being developed for IMAX.

It was claimed that the short promo clip was going through Digital Media Remastering so it could be formatted for the super-size cinema screens.

However, ScreenRant have reportedly had word from IMAX that this is not the case.

If the rumour was true, it would have meant the teaser came slightly earlier than that of its predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War – which dropped on November 29, 2017.

Avengers 4 does, in truth, need fairly little by way of promotion: hype is already exceptionally high following the enormous cliffhanger of the end of Infinity War.

And with its title not even out in the open yet, it does seem a little early for a trailer to land.

It was previously rumoured that the trailer would debut on a US late-night talkshow this week, but that was quickly debunked.

Meanwhile, reshoots and pick-ups have recently wrapped in Atlanta, USA.

With that came the apparent exit of Chris Evans, who took to Twitter to pay tribute to his time as Captain America.

“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least,” he wrote on October 4.

“Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”

However, speaking more recently, he played down the notion that this points to the much-speculated death of his character.

“I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in someway a spoiler,” he said, according to Mail Online.

“I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing.

“That last day of filming was a very emotional day and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry.

“You feel a lot more emotions than I think even I thought I’d feel. And I felt it was appropriate to share the gratitude. “I know it had a ripple effect but I am neither confirming or denying anything!”
