YouTube DOWN: Error 503 Internal Server Issues leave Google Video service not working

UPDATE ONE: A new update from the YouTube Support Team has provided the latest news on what is happening with YouTube not working tonight.

“Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues,” it reads.

“We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.”

ORIGINAL: The Google-owned video service is suffering issues tonight, with users around the globe reporting a major outage.

YouTube is down for many customers, who have been hit by multiple issues with login, as well as uploading and watching video content.

YouTube users have been confronted with error messages as they tried to login, upload or watch content on the hugely-popular video platform.

There are also issues with seeing ‘Error 500’ and ‘Error 503’ messages, instead of normal video content online.

YouTube users in both the US and UK are confirming that the Google-owned site and service is not currently functioning properly.

“Still down in Raleigh, the site loads but nothing is displayed. Search works, but videos won’t load,” one user from the United States confirms.

While another adds: “It will just let me click on a video but won’t let me go back to the YouTube main page, so I’m stuck on a broken vid. Good times.”

Fans have been finding themselves unable to play videos on YouTube, on both normal content and their own channels.

Instead of clicking through to the content they want, users have been seeing YouTube Internal 500 Error messages instead.

These appear with a line of code and a purple monkey holding a hammer.

“Sorry something went wrong,” a message from YouTube reads.

“A team of highly trained monkeys are has been dispatched to deal with the situation.

“If you see them, send them this information as text (screenshots frighten them).”

The Google-owned company have not revealed what issues are causing problems for the YouTube servers tonight.

But while earlier outages have included problems like this in the past, it is very rare for there to be a full outage of services happening.
