Man Utd news: Zidane has key plan, Lukaku transfer hint, Woodward and Mourinho talks claim

Zidane has Man Utd plan

Zinedine Zidane already knows the style he would bring to Manchester United should he replace Jose Mourinho, Paul Ince has claimed.

He exclusively told Express Sport: He had a style at Real Madrid. And it got the best from their attacking players.

“Players bought into it. Zidane’s way of playing got them on side and that, for me, was significant.

“You look at United now and they don’t have a way of playing.

“But Zidane did at Real. And if he gets the United job I see him using that same style.”

Lukaku transfer hint

Romelu Lukaku has, rather bizarrely, hinted that he hopes to play in Serie A in the future.

The Manchester United hitman has angered fans recently by failing to find the net.

Lukaku’s brother, Jordan, currently plays in Italy with Lazio.

And the Belgium international has suggested he would be open to moving, specifically to Juventus, by saying: “Why not? I hope it happens.

“Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger.

“Without doubt, Juve are one of the two-three best teams in Europe.”

Woodward and Mourinho claim

Ed Woodward will bring three issues up in his meeting with United boss Jose Mourinho, reckons Stuart Pearce.

“I’ve got a mini checklist of what I think they might talk about,” he told Sky Sports.

“First one – performances of the team. Second one – league position.

“Third – budget. I think Mourinho is going to throw back what happened – or what didn’t happen – in the summer.

“Then there’s recruitment going forward and squad harmony. Those will be all questions that they will have to talk about where the club stand at this moment in time.”
