Why Huawei’s P20 Pro still has this one huge advantage over all of its rivals

Huawei’s P20 Pro surprised the smartphone world when it launched earlier this year.

Whilst every other manufacturer was agonising over their dual camera setups, the Chinese tech firm trumped them all with a clever triple rear snapper.

This intelligent camera can perform a huge range of tricks which includes taking pictures in almost total darkness and giving users the ultimate way to zoom in on a subject.

Huawei has also included its artificial intelligence which magically knows what and where you take a picture and automatically changes the settings to make sure you get the perfect snap every time.

This phone has been so well received it has even won a major accolade with the TechRadar Mobile Choice awards crowning the .

Speaking about the phone TechRadar said: “In a year filled with great phones, the Huawei P20 Pro was a favourite with the public and well-received by the judges, showing that Huawei has truly elbowed its way onto the top table and can mix it with the very best the phone world has to offer.”

There’s no question that Huawei has produced an excellent phone with a remarkable camera and it seems it’s still top when it comes to smartphone photography.

DxOMark, which independently tests phones for their camera prowess, has just updated their scores to include some of the very latest devices.

The new league table includes the iPhone Xs Max, Galaxy Note 9 and HTC U12+.

All of these devices scored very high marks but nothing could beat the P20 Pro.

Huawei’s flagship still sits in the top spot with a rating of 109, Apple comes second with its Xs Max getting 105.

HTC’s U12+ and the Galaxy Note 9 come joint third, both scoring 103.

So it seems that those wanting the ultimate camera should opt for a P20 Pro.

However, there are three more devices that are yet to be tested this year and they could take the P20 Pro’s crown.

Huawei will soon announce its Mate 20 Pro which is also rumoured to include three lenses on the rear case.

Google’s Pixel 3 will soon go on sale and its updated camera could easily nudge its way to the top of the table.

Finally, there’s the all-new which includes four rear cameras – one more than Huawei’s offering.

The scores for these phones are sure to be added to the DxOMark list soon but, for now, the P20 Pro still leads the pack.
