P20 Pro news – As price plummets this phone beats its Android rivals yet again

Huawei continues to give its Android rivals a major headache.

The Chinese technology company has been releasing ever improving devices over the past few years but its latest P20 Pro is now officially the best of 2018.

The TechRadar Mobile Choice Awards 2018 took place last night and crowned the P20 Pro as the best of the year.

Speaking about the phone TechRadar said: “In a year filled with great phones, the Huawei P20 Pro was a favourite with the public and well-received by the judges, showing that Huawei has truly elbowed its way onto the top table and can mix it with the very best the phone world has to offer.”

It’s not hard to see why the P20 Pro has been so well received with it featuring a stunning triple camera and huge 4000mAh battery which can last for almost two days on a single charge.

Express.co.uk also gave the P20 Pro top marks in our review saying: “This flagship easily keeps pace with the competition and in many ways it actually outclasses its rivals.

“The P20 Pro is up there with the best of them and we wouldn’t be surprised if Huawei’s trophy cabinet isn’t full with awards by the end of 2018.”

Other winners from last night’s awards included the Honor 10 for best mid-range phone, the Moto G6 Play for best budget phone and EE for best mobile operator.

The Apple Watch also picked up a gong for best wearable and Sky won an award for best TV and broadband supplier.

The news of the big win for the in recent weeks.

Although Huawei continues to sell its Pro at the flagship price of £799 there are much cheaper ways to get this phone in your pocket.

New deals from Mobiles.co.uk have seen the P20 Pro’s cost slashed to an all-new low.

The offers allow fans to pick up this award-winning device for just £18 per month.

For that price, you get 1GB of data plus unlimited calls and texts.

There is a £175 upfront fee to pay but the total over the two-year deal is just £607 – that’s almost £200 less than buying the Pro SIM-free.

If 1GB of data isn’t enough there is another deal that offers 4GB of online action.

This will set you back £23 per month with a £135 upfront fee.

The total over two years for this contract is £687.

Both of the above deals are via the Vodafone network and you can find the offers here.
