Honor Band 4 is a budget wearable that has Fitbit in its sights

Honor Band 4 is the company’s solution to an activity tracker that aims to make you more fit and healthy.

The wearable touts an AMOLED full colour display and a strap that comes in blue, black or pink varieties.

A home button is present under the display that is essential for navigating around the minimalist user interface.

Swiping from left to right on the panel performs a simple but efficient way of going back through the variety of menus.

The Honor Band 4 is water resistant up to 50 metres and the Chinese firm has insisted the hardware has “advanced swim tracking capabilities” that can identify the type of stroke the user is performing.

A heart rate monitor is also present on the product in addition to sleep tracking functionality.

The Honor Band 4 is capable of controlling the camera shutter of the smartphone it is connected with.

Moreover it also has a feature that will help users to find their phone if they misplace it.

Honor Band 4 has customisable clock faces, although the demo unit tested by Express.co.uk only showcased two of them.

Such functionality is incredibly similar to that offered by the recently debuted Fitbit Charge 3.

Honor declared the Band 4 is “Launching soon” but has not clarified an exact date.

Most notably the company did not disclose the exact battery life of the wearable.

Instead Honor merely insisted the Band 4 will deliver “long” performance on a single charge.

The product is priced at £59.99.

If the Band 4 is able to deliver on its promise of providing constant, accurate health data, it will surely be a huge rival to Fitbit.

And, just like its recently announced Honor 8X smartphone, the Chinese firm is determined to deliver a product that is incredibly affordable.

Fitbit currently offers its Charge 3 product for £129.99.
