Amazon releases major Echo update tomorrow with more features and better sound

popular Echo speakers are set for a major refresh tomorrow with the launch of a swathe of new smart devices.

The US technology firm announced the upgrades last month and they finally hit stores on October 11.

The updates include a new Echo Dot which has an improved curved design and better sound which is now 70 percent louder.

If you want something a little more advanced than the Dot then Amazon has rebooted its Echo Plus which now features a more aesthetically pleasing look with a fabric finish.

With its built-in hub, the all-new Echo Plus also makes setting up compatible smart home devices much more easy.

Another device getting a much better design is the 2018 Echo Show.

This all-screen speaker now gets a bigger 10-inch display, better sound with improved bass and a built-in smart home hub.

These updated devices all go on sale tomorrow and there’s even more coming from Amazon.

A device called the Echo Sub makes Amazon’s smart speakers sound infinitely better and there’s now a simple way to make any speaker you may own a little smarter via the Echo Input.

This tiny gadget connects to any speaker you may have lying around the house and makes it more intelligent with the Alexa personal assistant.

It connects through a cable or Bluetooth and features four microphones so Alexa should never miss you shouting at her.

If you’re not that bothered about smart speakers Amazon has a Smart Plug launching tomorrow.

This connected device is the first Wi-Fi smart plug to use Wi-Fi simple setup, making it easier to start – and expand – your smart home.

It also allows you to switch on the kettle or turn off the lights just by speaking to it.
