PS4 games news: Left Alive gets release date confirmed and awesome limited edition

console exclusive Left Alive has had its Western release date confirmed and an awesome looking limited edition revealed.

It was previously announced ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2018 that Left Alive would be getting a February 28 2019 release date in Japan.

At the time no release date was given for Western regions, but today Sony and Square Enix confirmed the PS4 launch plans for outside of Japan.

And thankfully fans in the West won’t have to wait much longer after the Japanese release of Left Alive.

In a blog post it was confirmed today that Left Alive will be releasing in the West on March 5 2019.

An awesome looking limited edition, the Left Alive Mech Edition, was also unveiled by Sony and Square Enix.

This ultra-limited edition will feature a detailed, model recreation of the Wanzer mech that appears in the upcoming PS4 and PC game.

Announcing the launch plans Francis Santos, a Square Enix product manager, said: “We’re excited to announce that Left Alive is coming to PS4 on March 5, 2019! You may be thinking: ‘The game is called Left Alive huh? I’m guessing I’ll have to… survive?’

“The answer… is yes.

“Left Alive takes place in the fictional location of Novo Slava in 2127 after a devastating surprise invasion leaves the city swarming with enemy troops, towering mechs, and in burning wintery ruins.

“You’ll play as three different characters with three different paths, all seeking salvation from war that has erupted in the city.

“As each of those characters, you will have to make difficult choices in your escape that sometimes are a matter of life and death.

The choices you make and the routes you take will all have an effect on how the story unfolds.”
