Halloween 2018 event is kicking off this week with a whole host of new skins and possible map changes going live as well as the return of Junkenstein’s Revenge.

In the run-up to the Overwatch Halloween 2018 event the game’s official Twitter account has been drip feeding new and upcoming spooky skins.

So fans have a good idea of what new looks some of their favourite heroes will be boasting during the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event.

OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN 2018 – WHEN IS THE HALLOWEEN TERROR RELEASE DATE? WHAT IS THE START TIME ON PS4, XBOX ONE AND PC?

The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 release date was revealed last week, and fans don’t have long to wait now.

The Overwatch Halloween Terror release date for PS4, Xbox One and PCs is Tuesday October 9.

Judging by past Overwatch releases, fans can expect it to go live between 6pm and 7pm BST on launch day.

OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN 2018 – WHAT NEW OVERWATCH SKINS ARE COMING WITH THE HALLOWEEN TERROR EVENT?

The official Overwatch Twitter account has been teasing upcoming new skins as the Halloween Terror event draws near.

For the past few days they have been revealing brand new skins for the Overwatch Halloween event.

At the time of writing five heroes have had their Halloween skins revealed by the California-based gaming giant.

These Overwatch characters who have had their Halloween skins revealed are Doomfist, Moira, Widowmaker, Pharah and Wrecking Ball (aka Hammond).

Fans are also expecting two remaining Overwatch skins to be revealed before the start of the Overwatch Halloween Terror event 2018.

This is after a leaked silhouette appeared on the PTR of the new legendary skins.

Four of the skins that have been revealed so far appeared in the Overwatch leak.

The ones remaining are Slasher 76 and a Junkenstein’s Bride skin for Sombra.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan recently hinted at a brand new skin, confirming to fans that Junkenstein’s Monster would finally have a bride.

The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 release date was confirmed alongside a brand new map teaser last week.

A Blizzard tweet said: ”There’s a rumour among explorers about a monolithic lair.

“Home to terrifying horrors. Heroes, how will you prepare?”

The rhyme was posted alongside a short teaser video which hints at a new map location.

Judging by the video, Chateau Guillard is getting a Halloween makeover, perhaps in time for the Junkenstein’s Revenge game mode.

OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN 2018 – ALL SOUNDS GREAT. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

As with other Overwatch Halloween events past skins can be purchased.

These returning skins will cost 1,000 credits, while the new skins will be available for 3,000 credits.

Elsewhere Kaplan told fans to expect a few minor tweaks in the Junkenstein’s Revenge game mode, which pits four heroes against waves of enemies.

The Halloween Terror event could also launch alongside the recently announced Torbjorn rework.

Arguably the biggest change is that Torbjorn will no longer dish out armour to teammates.

This also spells the end for the scrap system.

Kaplan said that the aim of the changes is to make Torbjorn a more acceptable pick on both attack and defence.
