‘Conor McGregor went to DARK PLACES’ says MMA expert after UFC Khabib fight CARNAGE

The comments were made by MMA expert Robin Black, following McGregor’s loss to Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

The fight ended up in a huge brawl on Sunday morning as Khabib’s alleged associates rushed onto the ring and attacked McGregor.

Mr Black told RT: “McGregor is unafraid to go to the dark places.

“He will say things about family.

“He will say things about country.”

Before the fight, McGregor allegedly taunted Khabib about his family and father and appeared to mock his Islamic faith by offering him a bottle of whisky.

Mr Black argued the insults are being used as a calculated strategy.

He said: “When McGregor tries to go after people and use words and ideas that try to elevate the temperature of the opponent, he does it intentionally, so that he can take advantage of their emotions.”

However, Mr Black suggested that this tactic backfired at UFC 229.

He explained: “Once you open that box you go to those emotionally triggering, powerful things, this provokes a reaction.

“The temperature was raised and it popped.”

After the UFC 229 fight, the Russian fighter jumped out of the cage and appeared to attack Dillon Danis, one of McGregor’s team.

This provoked an all out brawl involving both teams.

Three of Khabib’s team were arrested, but later released.

Mr Black is confident McGregor will demand a rematch after the controversy.

He said: “Before I said that if McGregor lost, he might retire.

“Now I think there’s no likelihood of that, because this is unfinished.
