WWE news: John Cena called out by Smackdown megastar after Super Show-Down return

Cena debuted the manoeuvre at a non-televised live event in Shanghai last month where he teamed up with Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor.

The stunning trio defeated Elias, Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal in a Six Man Tag Team Match when The Champ took out The Drifter with the Lightning Fist, which was basically just a backfist to the face.

Millions of fans from around the world got to see the 16-time world champion’s ‘sixth move of doom’ on his televised return during WWE Super Show-Down at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

The Leader of the Cenation teamed up with Lashley in a Tag Team Match against Kevin Owens as well as Elias and once again won it for his team with the Lightning Fist, which he picked up during his training at Jackie Chan’s JC Stunt Team International Training Centre.

Samoa Joe though is not at all intimidated by that move as he insists it is no match to his martial arts skills.

The Smackdown superstar told HollywodLife: “The sixth move of doom? Yeah.

“So John Cena went to China, took some lessons, and all of a sudden, now he’s got a bad palm strike.

“Listen, I mean, listen. I’ve been traveling the world for years and I’ve been beating up people with martial arts techniques from far superior styles and techniques. So, I ain’t worried about that.

“You can come throw that back just all you want, and when you catch a foot in your face, you tell me how effective it is.”

Samoa Joe failed to dethrone WWE Champion AJ Styles at WWE Super Show-Down and doesn’t look likely to get a rematch as Daniel Bryan became the No1 Contender when he defeated The Miz Down Under.

Therefore, a potential match against Cena shouldn’t be ruled out as the WWE legend is also not involved in any storylines at the moment.

After his comeback match, however, the ex-WWE Champion picked up a microphone and fuelled some recent rumours suggesting he will be retiring from professional wrestling soon.

He said: “I have no idea what the future holds so I focus on the now.

“And right now I’m standing in front of 70,000 people saying the word ‘What’.

“70,000 people making some noise.

“And I mean this from the bottom of my heart, there’s not a better feeling in the world.

“Thank you for letting me perform in this country and at this epic event tonight.”
