OnePlus 6T will bring another major advantage over the OnePlus 6

OnePlus 6T is highly-anticipated and its huge fanbase are surely eager to see what the firm has in store for its next flagship.

OnePlus 6T is expected to retain the Chinese manufacturer’s signature ethos of filling its phones with flagship features but slapping a price tag on the final product that is lower than all of its premium rivals.

While OnePlus T upgrades have typically boasted more iterative improvements rather than radical overhauls, it appears the OnePlus 6T is set to forgo such a tradition.

That is because the company has already confirmed the device will come with futuristic fingerprint technology.

OnePlus 6T’s fingerprint scanner will be placed under its display, meaning users will be able to unlock the device just by placing their finger on it.

Such an intuitive way of unlocking was recently discussed by OnePlus CEO and founder Pete Lau.

He insisted such a feature will provide a “satisfying experience” to fans of the budget flagship line.

Liu declared: “We spent months shaving milliseconds off the unlock time and carefully refining the unlock animation to ensure a satisfying experience.

“Through the use of several software algorithms, Screen Unlock will learn to recognise your fingerprint with higher accuracy through extended use.

“In combining the latest hardware with self-learning software algorithms that intelligently preload your fingerprint information, we have created an incredibly fast in-display unlock experience.

“Screen Unlock marks a momentous leap forward in unlock technology, delivering unmatched speed and convenience.”

In addition to providing a new way to unlock the product, the OnePlus 6T has also been rumoured to come flaunting a screen with a smaller notch than was present on the OnePlus 6.

Meanwhile, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei recently spoke with TechRadar and revealed the 6T will forgo a headphone jack.

While he admitted such a design decision was difficult for the manufacturer to make, he insisted the move would bring a range of benefits.

Pei noted one of these would be “improved battery life”.

And now it appears more details about the forthcoming flagship’s battery may have just leaked.

CNBeta recently posted an image of an alleged battery for the OnePlus 6T that was listed as being 3,700mAh.

If true, this would mark a noticeable increase from the pack included inside the OnePlus 6.

The OnePlus 6 included a 3,300mAh battery when it released back in May.

Although the exact size of the pack included inside the OnePlus 6T has not been officially confirmed by the Chinese firm, such a figure should provide better life that has been promised.

CNET previously reported the OnePlus 6T is set for release later this month.

If true it surely will not be long before an official announcement about the product is made by the Chinese giant.
