Verstappen ran wide at Turn 17 on the opening lap and when he attempted to rejoin the track, the Red Bull man pushed Raikkonen onto the grass.
The Dutchman was quickly investigated by stewards for the silly collision with Raikkonen.
He was later handed a five second time penalty for leaving the track and not joining it safely.
“What the f***, honestly I tried to do the best I could – he was on the inside and could have easily just waited for me to come back,” Verstappen fumed over the radio.
