Conor McGregor: Did you hear what Dana White told Khabib after UFC 229 attack?

Khabib retained his unbeaten record when he forced McGregor to submit late on in the fight.

But chaos ensued as Nurmagomedov then jumped into the crowd to attack Dillon Danis, a member of McGregor’s team, while the Irishman himself was also punched in the ring by two men, reportedly members of Khabib’s entourage.

The Dagestan native then returned to the Octagon to get his belt from Dana White.

However, the UFC President refused to hand it to Khabib before giving him a telling off in front of televisions cameras.

“Here’s what is going to happen – this is what I believe,” White said.

“If I put this belt on you, everybody is going to throw s**t into the Octagon.”

Khabib explained why he attacked Danis in the crowd, claiming McGregor’s religious slurs were the reason for actions.

“I want to say sorry to the Nevada State Athletic Commission,” Nurmagomedov said.

“This is not my best side. He talked about my religion, my country, my father. He came to Brooklyn, he broke bus and nearly killed two people.

“So why do people still talk about me jumping over the cage? I have shown respect.

“I told you guys: his whole team and him, they are tap machines.

“Today he tapped. (I am) Undisputed and undefeated.

“This is a respectful sport. This is not a trash-talking sport. I want to change this game. You cannot talk about religions and nations.

“This for me is very important. Thank you for waiting for me. I know my father is gonna smash me when I go home. Nevada: sorry. Vegas: sorry.”

Lightweight contender Tony Ferguson has hit out at Khabib, claiming he acted like an animal.

He said: “They need to be professional.

“We’re trying to change this stuff up. No bs, that shouldn’t have happened from Khabib’s part.

“He should’ve taken the victory, got the belt, and walked away like a professional. Instead, he acted like animal.”

Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has broken his silence on the brawl, labelling McGregor an amateur.

“I want to congratulate my brother Khabib Nurmagomedov – the undisputed, undefeated pound-for-pound king,” he said. “There was never 2 Kings from beginning, only one king.

“This is not the way we want to celebrate such a dominant performance but when you talk about people’s country, family and religion and intentionally try to kill someone like he said and the cornermen running their mouths after, this is the fight game & s*** happens.

“The fans got an amazing fight and a great show.

“I want apologise to the Nevada athletic commission, the governor of Nevada and I want to thank Las Vegas police department and security for doing such an unbelievable job.

“Now everyone understands who’s the amateur here.”

McGregor is now planning a hometown UFC fight in Dublin after his defeat against Nurmagomedov.

It’s claimed the 30-year-old already has the backing from Dublin City Council.

A spokesperson for the stadium said: “We would welcome the UFC and Conor McGregor back any time.”

McGregor last fought in Ireland was UFC’s show in the 3Arena in 2014.

The UFC star has told his advisors to to sort an Irish return following his loss to Nurmagomedov.

Conor McGregor hasn’t pressed charges

After being attacked in the octagon by friends of Khabib, McGregor has opted not to press charges.

Dana White revealed: “I saw one of Conor’s guys yelling at Khabib, Khabib ran and jumped over the octagon, went after him. Two of Khabib’s guys got into the octagon, one guy hit Conor with some shots form behind, and that’s it

“The way that works is Conor is one of the guys who was attacked. Conor refused to press charges. There were three guys from Khabib’s team arrested, and they were released because Conor didn’t want to press charges.”

Khabib has apologised and he hasn’t been paid

Nurmagomedov said: “First of all I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas. I know this is not my best side. I’m a human being.

“He came to Brooklyn and he broke bus, he almost killed a couple of people. What about this s***?”
