Conor McGregor will mark his comeback in a highly-anticipated lightweight title fight against Nurmagomedov.
After a near two-year absence from the ring, McGregor will be looking to do something he’s never achieved before during his professional career – beat an undefeated champion.
The showdown is expected to be one of the most lucrative in MMA history and McGregor will take home a guaranteed £2.3million.
Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, who is making his maiden UFC title defence will walk away from the Octagon with £1.52m.
And former UFC lightweight champion Owen Roddy believes McGregor could win the contest as early as the first round if he lands a left hand.
“Conor lands on the chin and puts him to sleep,” he said.
“I always give his opponent the benefit of the doubt because some people are tough and can take more shots than others, but it’s only a matter of time.
“If Conor lands in the first, really, it could be done in the first.
“Once he lands on the chin, you’ll all see it in Khabib’s face.
“Once he lands, it will be lights out either immediately or shortly after.”
