Donald Trump Minnesota rally LIVE: US President in Rochester for mid-terms campaign

Mr Hagedorn, who was also the Republican nominee in 2014 and 2016, is listed as a speaker at the event.

He is currently locked in a tight match with Democrat Dan Feehan.

This will be Trump’s third rally this week, having been in Tennesse on Monday and Mississipi on Tuesday.

The rally begins at 6:30pm local time (12:30am BST) and will be held at the Mayo Civic Centre.

1:26am: Drug companies reduces prices on Trump’s request.

He claims he rang drug companies who were rising prices of medication and they immediately agreed to reduce them.

1:23am: Trump said he would do very well in a boxing match with Putin

Trump critisised Democrays for their comments on his foreign policy. 

He said: “They [Democrats] want me to get into a boxing match with him. I think I’d do very well.”

1:20: Trump has a “very good” relationship with Japanese Prime Minister

He said he has “very good” relaionship with Shinzo Abe.

Trump smiled at a woman cheering in the crowd and said: “Thank you darling.

1:17am: Trump reaches out

The POTUS said: “People without a high school diploma are very important people to me.”

1:15am: Minnesota has been Democrat since 1972

Minnestota has not been won by Republicans since 1972.

Trump said he thought he was going to win in 2016, but could’t make it to election nigh.

He said: “One more speech and we couldnt have won it!”

1:12am: Democrats want to stop the wall just because Republicans want it

He said: “Their whole life is trying to stop the wall, because they know we want it”

1:09am: Keith Ellison knew Trump was going to win

Trump claims Democrat politician Keith Ellison knew he would win the 2016 election.

He said: “He knew I was going to win. It was the last time he was right!”

1:05am: “Don’t do that to me!”

Donald Trump, back at the podium, said: “Can you imagine Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House? Don’t do that to me!”

1:01am: Jim Hagedorn comes to the podium

Mr Hagedorn said: “Minnesota loves tax cuts!”

He added: “Minnesota loves your judicial appointments. They love your appointments to the lower courts and to the Supreme Courts, including Judge Brett Kavanaugh.”

The candidate claims “due process” and the American Constitution is under threat from the Democrats.

12:59am: Trump “goes off script”

Trump makes an impromptu decision to invite Karin Housley to the stage.

She said at the podium: “Wow, you really do go off script don’t you?”

12:57am: Donald Trump: “How do we not win in a landslide every time?

The President takes more swips at the Democrats, saying: “We don’t want crime, they don’t mind crime.

“They want higher taxes and more crime. How do we not win in a landslide every time?”

He quipped: “I don’t think I would be a very good politician on the other side.

Someone shouts from the crowd: “I love you”

The President responds to the heckler with: “I love you too, but you’re not my type.”

12:52am: Brett Kavanaugh is an incredible person

Trump describes Judge Kavanaugh as “an incredible intellect, an incredible person”.

He added: “The Democrats are trying to destroy him. What they’ve done to him and his family – he has a great family – is awful.”

12.50am: Democrats will bring crime

“The Democrats are truly the party of crime. Because if you open borders, that’s what happens.

“They want to destroy – that’s what happens.”

12:47am: Regulation is not needed for clean air and water, Trump claims

We want clean water, we want crystal clean air, but you dont have to have regulation that makes it impossible for our country to compete with other countries.

12:44am: Trump said China want to make a deal

He said: “China want to make a deal, but they’re not ready yet. So we’ll do that later.”

13:41am: “We could win for 1000 years”

Trump tells the crowd to look at the media, as they boo the journalists.

The President said: “If we could ever get them on our side we’d win for 1000 years.”

12:37am: Praising the work of his administration

The crowd cheers as Donald Trump said employment is at the highest its’ ever been and they are looking after US veterans.

They boo as he says the Democrats want to bring back “gridlock” and “crime”

The crowd are chanting for Trump to appear. He is scheduled to start now.

This rally comes on the same day as a huge protest at Trump Tower about Brett Kavanaugh

12:20am: The crowd are fired up

The crowd are chanting “USA USA USA” and getting hyped for the President’s appearance in about ten minutes

12:16am: Free MAGA hats

Some campaign staff have come out and are handing out free Make American Great Again hats

One shouted: “Who wants some official swag?”

12:10am: One of Trump’s few rallies in a state he lost

This Minnesota rally is one of the few the President has done in a state he lost in 2016.

Hillary Clinton won narrowly 46.3 percent to his 44.9 percent.

12:02am: The President is due in half an hour

Crowds are heading into the Mayo Civic Centre ahead of the President’s speech in half an hour.
